Naming Ceremonies

Congratulations on this happy occasion and thank you for considering me for your naming ceremony.

You can choose from many ingredients to make a fun, emotional and meaningful ceremony. I will listen carefully to your wishes and can share ideas and discuss a whole host of possibilities.

We can include readings, songs, music and poetry.

Parents and Grandparents promises can be included and Life Sponsors can play a big part in the ceremony.

We can include a number of elements including unity sand ceremonies, naming ribbon ceremony, tree planting or a time capsule ceremony, where close family members and friends can all place a letter or something meaningful in the box.

The capsule can stay with the Life Sponsors until the child’s 18th birthday when they can open it and enjoy thinking about this day.

I will create a ceremony for you and will fine-tune it until you are happy with every word. We can plan it meticulously, so it is natural and flows on the day.

Naming ceremonies are perfect to welcome a new baby, an adoption, new family members and stepchildren, or celebrating a new name or gender identity, a new home, in fact all kinds of new beginnings which I would be delighted to help you celebrate.

Thanks so much for performing James’s naming ceremony on Saturday. Perfect! Our friends and family did their best to make your job so much harder with their over enthusiasm and rowdiness…..and we loved how you just kept gently moving things along. A very special evening.
